'Wayne Rooney Is A Sacrificial Lamb And I hate It' - Ray Wilkins

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney is a sacrificial lamb, according to Ray Wilkins.

The Red Devils managed to progress to the Europa League semi-finals after a hard-fought extra-time victory over Anderlecht on Thursday.

However, Rooney didn’t make it onto the Old Trafford pitch as Jose Mourinho opted for the pace of Anthony Martial, off the bench, when striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic limped off injured.

Former United captain Roy Keane labelled the snub as ‘the final nail in the coffin’ for Rooney’s career at the club and, speaking to the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, Wilkins believes the England international deserves far more respect.

“He has been so good for Manchester United and so good for English football that I think he needs that little bit of respect and be thrown back in again,” he said.

Nigerian Hacker Admits $6.5m Fraud In US Court

Obinna Obioha, 31, and a Nigerian hacker has pleaded guilty to wire fraud, and admitted to participating in a scheme to hack into computers and email accounts in the United States for the purpose of stealing money from American companies.
The announcement was made by United States Attorney Richard S. Hartunian and Vadim D. Thomas, Special Agent in Charge of the Albany Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
As part of his guilty plea, Obioha admitted that, while in Nigeria, he worked with others to hack into computers and email accounts used by dozens of victims in the United States and around the world.

After monitoring victims’ information to identify imminent commercial transactions, Obioha and his associates created knockoff email addresses that appeared similar to – but varied slightly from – victims’ legitimate email addresses.
Obioha and his associates then used those bogus email accounts to send fraudulent invoices to victims, instructing them to wire funds to bank accounts controlled by Obioha and his associates, under the pretense that the wires were payments for actual deals that had been previously negotiated by the victims.

Facebook CEO Vows To Help Prevent Repeat Of Cleveland Murder Posting

SAN JOSE, Calif. (Reuters) - Facebook Inc Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg pledged on Tuesday that his company would do all it could to prevent postings of incidents such as Sunday's fatal shooting in Cleveland, which was visible on the social media site for two hours.

Speaking at Facebook's annual conference for software developers, Zuckerberg took time out of a keynote address about an augmented reality project to express sympathy to the friends and family of the shooting victim, Robert Godwin Sr.

The suspected shooter, Steve Stephens, fatally shot himself after a brief pursuit by Pennsylvania State Police officers on Tuesday, ending a two-day nationwide manhunt, police said.

Victim’s Family Wishes Facebook Killer Had Been Captured Alive

On Monday night, other grieving family members said they had already forgiven Stephens and hoped he would turn himself in.

“I don’t want that man to die,” Godwin’s son Robby Miller told CNN. “I want him to be brought to justice.”

“Whatever law enforcement or whoever the higher-ups decide to do, that’s out of my hands,” Miller continued. At the end of the day, that’s up to God, you know? You know, ‘Vengeance is mine, said the Lord.’ Vengeance is his. It doesn’t belong to us to do that.”

He added: “So, if you out there, if you’re listening, turn yourself in. You’ve done enough damage. Just turn yourself in.”

Meningitis Outbreak In Nigeria Kills Nearly 300

Lagos, Nigeria (CNN)A meningitis outbreak has killed about 282 people in Nigeria, the country's Center for Disease Control said.

The agency reported a wide outbreak of cerebrospinal meningitis across 15 states.
A new strain of the disease called "stereotype C" has emerged, and there are not enough vaccines against it, the Center for Disease Control warned.
"There is a vaccine available," Chief Executive Chikwe Ihekweazu said, "but it is not commercially available for the stereotype involved in this specific outbreak, and we have to make application to the World Health Organization for the vaccines."
Nearly 2,000 suspected cases have been recorded and 109 have been treated since the outbreak began in February.
